Creative
As a creative writer, I have written and published a novel alongside two collections of poetry. I am also skilled at producing effective writing prompts, advice and guidance for new writers
I am a writer of essays and fiction exploring human behaviour, identity, work, and the hidden systems that shape everyday life.
For more than twenty-five years I have worked within organisations, observing how people respond to change, uncertainty, pressure, and the often complicated realities of working life. Those experiences continue to inform much of my writing both professionally and creatively.
My essays examine the ways people make decisions, create meaning, adapt to systems, and navigate the tensions between who they are and who they feel they need to be. My fiction explores many of the same themes through story, often focusing on repair, perception, relationships, and the strange ways people shape one another’s lives.
My work has appeared in a range of literary journals and publications, and I am the author of several books, including the novel Chopsticks. My short stories have been nominated for Best of the Net and Genrepunk awards. I am currently working on a second comic fantasy novel
